WELCOME!
Thanks for stopping by! I am a biracial voice actor from Dallas, Texas. I earned my BFA from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. I enjoy narrating YA, middle grade, rom-coms, women's fiction,

About Me

I'm Black & White And Read All Over
Amber Dekkers is a bi-racial poet and actress, who happens to be a progressive minded Texan. Her interest in literature and performance led her to New York City and the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts. While earning her BFA, Amber explored her love for words and the stage by immersing herself in NY's culturally creative Spoken Word scene. Networking with artists at local coffee houses led Ms. Dekkers to cross paths with Pulitzer Prize finalist and author, Patricia Smith, under who's instruction she expanded her exploration to include writing.
Amber's enchantment with story telling along with her southern warmth allows a lush vulnerability to shine through in her characters.
She is approachable and sincere. Amber proudly volunteers as a Girl Scout Leader for TWENTY EIGHT 5th grade girls and enjoys exploring camping, crafting and cookie sales with her troop! She has several years of experience working in classrooms from assisting in Special Education classrooms to supporting her daughter's elementary school as a substitute teacher. Away from the booth, she indulges in inspiring podcasts, all things Elvis and spending time with girlfriends and family!
With a soulful, buttery ease, she sounds like home.
